Amazing Draft
It's amazing what riding in a steady draft all the way can do. I kept my HR relatively very low (slightly above 130bpm) but my avg speed was 32.2kmh, including one Sembawang Hill and South Bouna Vista. Thanks to Kit and Sean for pulling most of the way while the rest of us conserved. Also, the group was small and everyone was just happy with the moderate pace these two were setting. Once we hit LCK and later Jln Buroh, I made Meng Kiang go in front to pull so that I can draft. What a wheel-sucker I am! :-p
And going up vertical with Meng Kiang is always fun. At SBV, he had a gap while the group I was in was slowing down... so I overtook and caught up with him some 70m ahead, my HR reaching 175bpm and holding.
Kit and Sean dropped back after the pace was pushed a little at Jln Buroh and they came by after 7 traffic light changes... together with Dan Gan's group. With no makan buddies heading Botanicals, I joined Dan's group for breakfast at Sixth Ave, where they talked a lot about stock market and stuff.
