  • Tonight, I swim

    Enuff said.

  • Hmm

This was me, back when I could do some arcade games with up to 3mins of game play left.

  • Urgh

As expected, played with the iPhone for a full 15mins before I got bored of it.

  • Amaaaazing

I was quite amazed today's ride had just 163bpm for my MaxHR.  It felt hard though; and it shows.  The average was 150bpm from LH to Keppel.  That means the HR didn't drop/deviate much from the max.  Or the sprints were too short for my HR to reach workload.  I dunno.  *phew*

I prob should not be sprinting now yet.  Instead, if I follow plan, I should still be doing another 2-3 weeks of strength training.

Next Monday is Vesak Day.  I prob should be making an annoucement for ride plans.

  • This was scary

It was so real for me.  The 11 weeks I spent in UK working was a nightmare.  I gained 9kg in 11 weeks.  Can you imagine that?  Wow.  Bacon wasn't the only thing; it was the fried prawn, and everything else.  Plus all the other food in additon that I had.

  • Food Updates

Looks like we've been going places for eating lately.  On Friday we went for one of our favourite restaurant - Ma Maison over at Bugis.  Then we decided to spend a quiet evening over at Dempsey yesterday.  Ended up looking thru a couple of restaurants but because I had meat cravings, we went for The Prime Society.  Today, we met up with a friend for Ironman (great movie, especially the digital version in the new Cathay cinema) and ended up eating at The Manhatten Fish Market over at Plaza Singapura.

    Ma Maison

    My cravings for this.

Look at how yummy the rice is.  Good quality Japanese rice.  So sweet.

D had spaghetti, which is a lot yummier than it looks.

    Pictures from Dempsey area
    We saw this cute elephant.

And of course, Ben n Jerry.

Finally ending up here for food, although we visited quite a few restaurants.  They were REALLLY friendly.  Fantastic service.  Even though near fully booked and we had to be seated outside.  They had these cute paper mats on the table.  Unfortunately, they are not clear as it was REALLLY dark and amazing that the camera could even take anything.

The Vongole pasta.  Really really good.  The vongole just melts in the mouth.

This was a 250g of err... can't remember what cut we had.  But it too was melting in the mouth.  I felt it was nicely cooked although D thinks it's a bit too raw for her.  We were thinking of wagyu beef but in the end, didn't go for it.

Manhatten Fish Market at Plaza Singapura.  With D and friend.

Sizzling, I was really trying to capture the bubbles (boiling hot) but it didn't show.

We shared a citrus salad too

    And the main course...

    ... Seafood Platter

Took this a couple of days ago when I had cravings too.  Yuuuuummmy, but I didn't have it.  Timing was not right.

In the end I had fish

And err... milo dinosaur from Toast (Bishan).  So much Milo powder!!!

  • Mas Revisited

I wonder why it took two whole months since Mas Selamat escaped from the detention centre for them to release news on how he escaped.  I mean, how difficult is it to report that the ventilation window in the toilet cubicle he was using was unlocked and the handle had been sawn off because the Superintendent thought it would make the window more secure, that there were no grills and CCTV cameras were not turned on.

    10mins?

    1hr?

    1 day?

    At most... 1 week?

Why did it take TWO whole months to just make a simple report like that?

There comes a time when you realize Nike bag just won't cut it for travelling, especially with your bosses for work.

I thought this Braun Buffel bag was a steal at SGD$199.  Managed to pack enough for my KL trip, including 1/3 of the bag taken up by a pair of sandals.

On the way up, we had Crystal Jade for dinner.

On the way back, I ate at Soup restaurant by myself.

Just the other day, we ate at Kim Gary over at Vivocity.

Picked this up from HM last evening.  Looks really good.  However only the top three positions in relay get finisher medals (glad I got 2nd).

We saw this very very smart beagal (apparently the smartest of dogs) and he was trying to open the door.  He finally decided to go upside down to get a better leverage.  We figured he'd be out of the cage in no time.

Later we went to Starbucks where I had a venti sized glass of warm milk.

And that's HM's pair of hands, showing me with his tiny notebook the results of BikeAsia.

This morning I was stuck in the rain and went to Bugis to have breakfast instead.

    More foodie pix from KL.

Tuesday evening, we had dinner with a sponsored athlete from TheBikeBoutique.  This was taken from Amoy St market, although too oily for our liking.

Seems weird that previous race director for Powerman series in Malaysia is the race director for BikeAsia, a Singapore event - Geoff Kronenberg - while a previous SACA event race director is now the race director for the Powerman series in Malaysia - Max Mager.

In other news, I find it rather amusing that my old team is now split into three different groups of people who probably are not talking to each other.  Kinda ironical that I'm meeting two of them tonight, one of whom is responsible for the very successful DirTraction.  Myself, I was supportive of the second group till certain actions which totally disgusts me.

I wonder why they still ride with us.  Maybe still trying to steal more members.  It's not like there's no other people in Singapore like Cycleworx who rides at 8.30am on Sunday morning.
